THE KNOWLEDGE CENTRE

Your gateway to learning, discovery, and community‑powered flood safety.

Here, Mîkos the Muskrat, Miyo the Salmon, Nipiy the Frog, Taanu the Heron, and Wâsêw the Dragonfly share their wisdom to help families, classrooms, and communities stay safe, prepared, and connected to the water systems that shape our lands.

Learn. Share. Prepare. The future of flood resilience begins here.

The FloodGuardians Learning Network is a supportive, student‑centered education community where learners explore safety, resilience, and environmental awareness at their own pace. With small, connected learning spaces, personalized pathways, and a focus on real‑world flood‑preparedness skills, the Centre helps students build confidence in who they are and who they’re becoming.

Educators work closely with each learner to set meaningful goals, celebrate progress, and create a strong sense of belonging. It’s a place where every student’s journey matters — and where learning feels personal, relevant, and empowering as they grow into future SafetyGuardians.
